Love it!. Breathes a lot better then stock for sure. I have a 2008 bmw 128i N51(SLUV) motor. The instruction manual says this excludes a lot of N51 motors. I wonder why it says that i called FCP and they are submitting a catalog question. I installed this myself. However there are some complications. The MAF air sensor harness is so tight i hardly got it to plug in almost breaking it, got it plugged in but it's crazy tight it's going to break for sure if i don't get a extension to the MAF harness. I saw another guy install this and it came with a foam ring for the MAF sensor, I thought that was smart. My kit didn't come with that foam ring and I can definitely see a little gap between the MAF and intake tube. My kit was also missing one lock washer for bolting the intake tube assembly to the air box. I currently am calling AFE because i ripped my intake boot trying to slip the intake assembly on it's so tight i ripped it trying to install. After breaking it, i figured out to slip the steel band fastener onto the tube first. past the connection point. Before slipping rubber coupling onto the intake tube(without steel band around it) then bring the band back over after rubber is over intake tube. This was not part of the instructions but must be done. I even used vaseline to fit the rubber after i broke it. The car runs but does have a tear in the boot, can't notice to much but I'm not going to push it until i get it replaced. NO ONE sells these online besides one place i found Advance Auto parts, i ordered one from them immediately. You can't really find any replacement parts online for the kit by part number either. I love the kit but there is definitely some small issues maybe some self inflicted but the boot is TIGHT! Put vaseline on the job tool list.

A very good looking intake & sounds great as well. I have my paired with AA headers and a tune . Only thing is the tube diameter leading to the intake box is larger than OEM which doesn’t allow for the MAF to be properly mounted without extended the wiring harness. Also the IAT sensor harness needed to be extended as well, so if electrical isn’t your thing definitely not a DIY installation .You do have to wrestle the tube to fit onto the throttle body as well it’s very stiff and seems like it doesn’t fit but with some patience and finessing it’ll fit just removed the 2 (10mm) bolts that hold the Power steering reservoir for more room. Carbon Pattern looks good In the engine bay as well. Let’s see how it does after a few thousand miles

Fitment is great! Can already hear the difference in tone of the engine and sounds deep and mean when at mid/high RPMs. Looks great in the engine bay as well. Highly recommended aftermarket addition!
