OEM FTW!
It's OEM and its fits my 2011 X5 trunk with no gaps. Don't buy the knock offs, buy this one instead, worth every penny.

Note this doesn’t come with the 2 grommets to mount. If you think you’ll need them, order them with the emblem. My old ones were intact so I refused.

Genuine BMW part in BMW packaging. Perfect fit and appearance. I lost mine in a car wash. Easy to replace, just be very careful to protect the paint and clean the surface of all old sealer. I used cleaner wax.

This is the e70 trunk emblem? Do I have to buy the grommets separate?

Yes, this is the trunk/hatch emblem. This is held on with double-sided tape on the outside circumference and two grommets that need to be ordered separately, linked at the bottom of the page under "you might also need".
