A critical sensor of your BMW's Valvetronic system, includes encapsulated screws for installation

Valvetronic is BMW's variable valve lift system which controls the lift of the intake valves variably from the profile of the camshaft. In order for this system to function the position of the eccentric shaft is monitored which is data needed for the Valvetronic system to function correctly.

When performing this repair we also recommend reading the fault memory of the DME, checking stored fault codes, rectifying the fault codes, and then clearing fault memory.
