Fixed no crank no start issue
PLEASE do this as preventative maintenance!!! ...especially if the car has ever spent any time near salt. I spent well over $1,200 and 4 months of downtime because this caused a myriad of electrical issues.

Fixed all kind of strange behaviors with my car
My 335xi has 10 years now but only approaching 59k miles and in very good condition. I started having issues with door open warnings while driving, lights flickering while the car was off, and my car would unlock itself immediately after locking it. After searching through forums, I found out that this wire might be an issue. Sure enough. After inspecting it, the original wire was all corroded and oxidized (green with white like powder coming off of it). After replacing it, all issues were gone. The new part is slightly thinner compared to the old one, but all the part numbers matched exactly.

This was the problem. Old cable was heavily corroded.

Hi FCP Can you let me know if this earthing strap is the same as the bottom strap? That being the one which connects just below the LHS engine mount to the chassis? The part I have here seems perfect for the top strap on the LHS of the engine bay, but I need to confirm if I need a different strap for the bottom? This is for a E90 2011 BMW 328i XDrive.
