The door mirror glass is the glass surface on a vehicle’s side mirror, allowing drivers to see behind and beside them. It’s an essential safety component for visibility and situational awareness when driving, changing lanes, or parking. Door mirror glass can be electrically heated to prevent fogging and ice buildup. They are sometimes convex to provide better visibility and allow for a wider range of visibility around the vehicle for the driver.
