Product Information

Revshift polyurethane differential bushings completely replace the OEM rubber bushings on the E46 M3 and Z4M. These bushings stiffen the differential improving the vehicles handling capabilities.

The differential cover bushings are not a serviceable item per BMW meaning if the bushings have failed you will be required to replace the entire cover as a unit. This differential mount kit from Revshift includes new bushings for the differential cover as well as the mount pressed on the subframe.

Black 80A polyurethane is slightly stiffer and stronger than the OEM rubber but will not cause any additional noise or vibration. It is a great choice as an upgraded stock replacement.

Dont use Lower Central bushing
More diff whine than stock but I dont really mind, However the lower single diff bushing Blew out in a thousand miles or so, would recommend buying the oem bushing for that. It's avaible on some sites still unlike the upper two which require purchashing the entire diff cover.

Diff bushing
Bought these for my car been running them for a year now. Clunking while slightly accelerating… just Go OEM GENUINE BMW don’t waste your time.

Revshift Diff bushing FAILURE in less than 3,000 miles
E46 M3 (2005) installed new diff and diff bushings July 2023 (lasted about 10 months) and with less than 3,000 miles since the diff install. Front Revshift diff bushing has completely failed. When starting off from a stop (not hard launch...just normal driving) front of diff moves so much the front diff bolt hits and rubs on the subframe. Will have to fully remove diff and install new bushing

shouldve gone oem
ride is harsher and i feel more clunk from these bushings :/ also its lame they only send two of the molts you need not the front one. so make sure you get it. overall its mid. just go oem rubber for a proper m3 feel

Total Junk
After spending dozens of hours removing exhaust, underbody parts, and differential, these crappy bushings survived less than 200miles of spirited driving before the plastic extruded out of the housing and around the bolts. Now I have to spend another several dozen hours removing the differential to replace them. I hope that FCP Euro's lifetime warranty doesn't require me to use the same crappy bushings.

Make sure you throw them into the fridge prior to the session. Frozen ones the do penetrate easier.

They do make additional whine. (soundproof layer does not exist anymore. Aluminum - engages the polyurethane) Not a lot, but something you notice right away.

works great
Very acceptable cost friendly alternative to new genuine parts, I can feel what the engine is doing to the rear wheels again. Downshifts are much smoother and more direct. There's some whine when cold, but I like it. The whine goes away after the diff gets warmed up even though I'm running Castrol 75w140 syntrax in the diff which is supposed to be noisy. Comes with what's in the picture and some grease.

Surprisingly good.
I just installed these on my '05 M3 and after using them for a little bit, they feel really good. Power delivery feels smoother, and shifting with the SMG feels noticeably less clunky. I also didn't notice any additional NVH at all, which surprised me. They do, however, make the diff whine a little more though.

Yes, these differential mounts would provide an OEM+ feel. Please note, all poly differential mounts may provide audible differential whine as the Genuine rubber mounts allow vibration damping to reduce noise.
