Black seal that goes around the edge of the windshield glass, a common replacement item on aged vehicles
This rubber seal is a common wear and replacement item on older BMW models. Due to constant exposure to the elements the rubber in this trim can dry out and the entire seal essentially begins to fall apart. This replacement sourced from BMW is the ideal solution to keep your Z4 looking great.
A windshield seal is the rubber or urethane material that secures the windshield to the vehicle body, keeping out water, air, and debris while also reducing wind noise and helping maintain structural integrity. Over time, exposure to sun, weather, and vibration can cause the seal to deteriorate.
Windshield Seal Failure Symptoms- Water or air leaks – moisture intrusion or whistling wind noise at speed.
- Visible wear – cracking, shrinking, or separation of the seal.
- Compromised safety – loose or poorly secured windshield, sometimes with interior fogging from trapped moisture.
