Convertible Top Seal

A convertible top seal is the rubber weatherstripping that lines the edges of a convertible roof, windshield frame, and side windows. Its primary purpose is to create a tight seal when the top is closed, preventing water, wind, and noise from entering the cabin. These seals also protect the interior from dust and help maintain proper fit and function of the roof mechanism. With age, exposure to sunlight, and frequent opening/closing, the seals can deteriorate.

Convertible Top Seal Failure Symptoms
  • Water leaks – rainwater or car wash water entering around the roof or windows.
  • Wind noise – increased whistling or air drafts at highway speeds.
  • Visible deterioration – cracks, flattening, or shrinking of the rubber seal.

Is this for hardtop or soft top?

This seal is on the windshield side for soft top cars. We cannot confirm it will work for hard tops, although this seal is technically not part of the convertible system.
