BMW Clutch Alignment Tool - FCP Euro 83300491426KT

BMW self-adjusting clutches are shipped with a locking plate - found in in the center of the clutch with a hex-hole. While this seems straightforward, the shipping plate needing to be removed after installation can complicate the install process. If you attempt to use a traditional handle-style clutch alignment tool, you will find that - due to the shipping lock - it's not possible to install the clutch pressure plate over the friction disk with the alignment tool in place. That's where this tool comes in.

Featuring a two-piece design, this tool can be installed to align the friction disk with the pilot bearing, the bolt (handle) from the tool can be removed, the pressure plate can be installed, and - once the shipping lock is disengaged and removed - the bolt can be threaded into the alignment tool and pulled out. BMW offers this special tool, however spotty availability and high price drove us to create our own version in house. Made from 7075 aluminum with a passivated finish, this tool will stand the test of time.
