BMW Carbon Charge Pipe Set - Eventuri EVE-S55-CF-CHG

Eventuri invested months of intense R&D in development and testing to bring you OEM replacement charge pipes which leave no room for compromise. FITMENT- FLOW QUALITY – STRENGTH are the 3 main design criteria that were sought to meet.

Fitment: A common issue with aftermarket charge pipes is poor fitment due to the nature in which they are made using bent metal tubes. Clearances with the engine cover and other aftermarket intake systems can be an issue. Eventuri's solution using carbon fiber allows them to use complex geometry in order to provide an OEM-like fitment whilst retaining optimum flow.

Flow quality: The design uses smooth curve transitions from the turbo outlets to the charge-cooler. In addition, Eventuri also increased the internal volume as compared to the OEM version to allow the turbos to work with less restriction. Importantly the machined flange attachment to the turbo outlet maintains a constant diameter to the chargepipes without exposed edges which could cause turbulence. This is an improvement over aftermarket metal chargepipes which often have welds between the flange and the tubes.

Strength: The final criteria was to increase the structural strength of the charge pipes over the OEM versions. It has become increasingly common for OEM charge pipes to fail, especially with tuned cars running higher boost levels. By using a cross-directional carbon weave layup with multiple layers to form a 2mm wall thickness, Eventuri's charge pipes provide an incredibly strong solution for reliable operation even with larger turbos. Furthermore, CNC-machined stainless steel rings have been embedded into the openings where the clamps are tightened to ensure the pipes maintain their shape even under high clamping forces.



The Eventuri S55 carbon charge pipes are manufactured from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber and come with a number of other components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards.

Each inlet system consists of:

• x2 high temperature carbon chargepipes
• 2 x CNC machined turbo flanges
• Silicon couplers with oil resistant lining
• Marine grade stainless steel hose clamps

Carbon Fiber Chargepipes

Eventuri charge pipes are fabricated from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber. The construction utilizes multiple carbon layers which are applied with cross-directional weave patterns to increase the strength of the part. Each pipe has machined stainless steel rings embedded in the openings to provide extra strength in the clamping areas. The pipes have smooth bends and reliefs to provide an efficient flow path for the pressurized air to negotiate from the turbos to the cooler. By ensuring there are no sharp corners and exposed faces, the turbos are able to operate as they were designed with the factory chargepipes.







CNC Machined Turbo Flanges



The connection to the turbo outlets is done by using CNC machined flanges which use the OEM o-ring to provide the required seal. Each flange is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and then black anodized. High-quality silicone couplers are used to mate the flanges to the pipes and constant tension marine-grade clamps are then used to make them secure.
