Let's face it, brakes pads hands down are the most important components of our vehicle. Our brake pads allow us to stop our vehicles with a simple push of a brake pedal. Unfortunately they don't last forever and are considered to be a major wear item which must be replaced before they completely wear out and damage the brake rotor costing you more in repairs. Brake pads can be made of several materials such as a semi-metallic compound, ceramic compound, or organic. Excellent Pads
I’ve used these Akebono pads on several BMWs over the years, paired with Zimmermann rotors, bedded them in carefully and the performance has been superb. These are my go to pads anytime I do a brake job.

Terrible Brake Squeal - FCP Won't Stand Behind Them
I installed these on my wife's 2018 BMW X3 ~5 months ago. They were properly bedded in with new rotors and plenty of grease in the appropriate areas. They were fine for the first ~500 miles and then developed a squeal at moderate brake pressure and lower speeds. I pulled the pads, re-greased them, re-installed them, and then bedded them in again twice with no change. Even after taking it to my local BMW Indy, they could not find anything wrong and said it was likely the pads. Other reviews I could find for these Akebono pads confirm that this is a major issue with these pads. When I contacted Akebono, their advice was to just drive the car for ~1-1.5k miles and they said it should go away. I can confirm it has not gone away. FCP won't stand behind these pads and allow me to swap out for a different brand even though they are clearly defective. Definitely stay away from these pads and don't waste your money with FCP.

Knocking and Squealing on G01 X3
I replaced my pads after looking at the positive reviews of these pads. After months and 1,000 miles of break-in, these pads are still squealing at very low speeds/pedal pressure. 35k miles on the vehicle. In addition, they move fairly freely in the caliper and cause a knocking sound periodically when shifting directions, hitting large bumps. Very disappointed and have to resort to replacing the pads AND the rotors in one shot. The positive is the vehicle still stops, so that's good.

I'm being told these will fit the fronts on my 2024 x3 non m-sport. The detail section only says 18-20 but it's the same generation. Can we confirm this?
