The BC Racing BR series coilover kits are designed for street driven vehicles that may see some track time. BC Racing uses pillowball mounts instead of the OE design strut and shock mounts for maximum steering and road feel. Your BMW will have a firmer ride over stock components but will not be uncomfortable. In addition, BC Racing BR series coilovers allow you to adjust damping to your liking with the adjustment knobs that sit atop the dampers. The BC Racing BR series coilovers are perfect for the performance enthusiast who demands the most performance possible without breaking the bank. Your BMW will be just as home daily driving to and from work as it will be on the track with these BR series coilover installed.

Unlike other manufactures which typically require you to send back worn or failed parts for a rebuild and warranty inspection, BC Racing has all the components which comprise their coilover kits available for individual sale outside the one year warranty.

This gives you the opportunity to replace worn components on your own time schedule with little to no vehicle down time and also gives you the unique opportunity to upgrade your coilover kit to a higher level kit if you so choose. You do not have to send back any worn components to BC Racing for rebuild.

BCR Coilovers - Great to Replace Troublesome EHCII Air Suspension
Was tired of having recurring errors on my air suspension setup on my 2006 4.8is after servicing parts just to have other parts or programming cause issues later. So I purchased this setup and have been very happy with it. The ride is adjustable and can be adjusted to be racey (bouncier over rough pavement) or softer (soaks up bumps) to suit your preferences. I have it setup to be very similar to the factory air suspension. Just a tad sportier and lowered the truck about 1.25" and am very happy. Be aware, you will need to trick your car's computers to believe there is nothing wrong with the suspension. You can do that 2 ways. Buy an "emulator" add-on that simulates correct readings from the sensors. Or, the better way, remove the EHCII module/computer all together and code the car to believe it never had an air suspension. This is what I did on mine. It takes special software and is not easy. Google "Another EHCII System Removed" for details to my forum thread.

Is this kit for front and rear? If so, does it work with the rear axle self leveling? My X5 has air springs on the rear only.

This kit will bolt up on vehicles with air suspension equipped. However, the air suspension system will need to be deleted and the system will need to be coded off to avoid any error messages from popping up on the dash.
