Product Information

Basic service kit which features a new reservoir, suction hose, and return hose with required replacement hardware

Hydraulic power steering systems require regular inspection for leaks. The system relies on a constant supply of clean hydraulic fluid which can be interrupted when there is a leak in the system.

In addition to checking for leaking power steering hoses it's also critical to replace your power steering reservoir with every system flush. The power steering reservoir includes an integrated filter which cannot be replaced separately.

When refilling your BMW's power steering system please take note of the color of the fluid fill. A yellowish fluid fill indicates a CHF11S fill and red fluid indicated an ATF/DEXIII fill. Please order the correct fluid for your vehicle separately.

Power steering kit
I thought this kit would be a direct fix for the PS leak but instead this one leaks from both hoses and gets a lot of sweat around top near cap. Going to replace for another set and see what happens

Complete kit
Sometimes you just need a new o-ring for the reservoir cap. FCP carries these too. This kit will refresh the common leak points of the hoses and refresh the filtration too. Easy to install, just need to remove the airbag for access. To make house removal easier use a pair of fuel / ac disconnect pliers like Lisle 37300, they work perfectly

Great kit with all the basics
With this simple kit you can cure a lot of the steering fluid leaks that are common on the E46, and it only takes a few minutes to change everything.

Happy with the purchase!
This is a highly neglected part of regular maintenance on these BMW's and this kit (along with a lot of degreasing and cleaning) makes everything looks like new! Do yourself a favor and buy the tool to remove these hoses. They have a plastic push type release and the space to work with them is VERY minimal. I ended up having to remove the headlight, destroy the plastic clip and fish out the pieces!

This kit worked perfectly to replace the old reservoir and lines. The only improvement could be to replace the crimp type clamps with screw type hose clamps. The hose that connects to the cooler cane with a regular screw type clamp. the other hose that connects between the reservoir and the pump came with crimp type clamps. I didn't use them and used screw type clamps instead. But overall, it was a good kit at a good price.

Worked exactly as described on my 2000 328i BMW Sedan. It was long overdue for a new reservoir for my car. In addition, I replaced the two hoses as well so no more leaking power steering on my driveway
