BMW B16 PSS10 Coilover Kit - Bilstein 48-245463

Product Information

Suspension coilovers are a type of car suspension system that combines a coil spring and a shock absorber (damper) into a single, integrated unit. The name comes from “coil” (the spring) and “over” (meaning the shock is inside or over the spring). Coilovers are typically adjustable, allowing you to change ride height, stiffness, and sometimes damping settings, depending on the model.

Benefits of Coilovers:

• Adjustable ride height: Coilover suspension typically features a threaded adjustable spring platform, allowing adjustment of ride height for better handling, aesthetics, or clearance.
• Improved Handling and Stability: Coilovers usually offer better cornering performance and reduced body roll compared to stock suspension.
• Customizable Ride Comfort: Many coilovers allow you to tune stiffness and damping to balance comfort and performance.
• Better Weight Distribution: Some coilovers can be adjusted corner-by-corner to fine-tune handling balance.
• Enhanced Appearance: Lowering the car can improve the stance and overall look.
• Versatility for Different Driving Conditions: Ideal for street, track, or off-road setups depending on the coilover design.

About Bilstein PSS9 PSS10 B16

Bilstein shocks and strut perform due to their larger piston area and quality manufacturing. Bilstein shocks eliminate dead spots, and deliver extremely responsive valving for superior performance and handling, including consistent, fade-free damping and shorter braking distance. Made only from the highest quality materials, Bilstein shocks reduced valve fatigue means they last much longer than standard stock replacement components.

Bilstein B16 - PSS9/PSS10

The engineers at Bilstein have created the ultimate race-inspired suspension—the Bilstein B16 PSS9/PSS10. This innovative suspension system delivers unsurpassed driving performance. The manually adjustable damping mono-tube gas shock absorbers feature 9 or 10-stage precise compression and rebound settings, from comfort to competition. The threaded body allows accurate adjustability of the front and rear progressive rate springs to achieve the vehicle ride height, center of gravity, and level of performance handling desired. The Bilstein B16 system puts you in complete control, providing the kind of precise suspension tuning formerly available only on race cars. From a weekend of competition to daily driving, this system provides perfect handling performance for every situation.
