Known as an air collector, sits atop the engine

Unlike traditional engines which make used of an intake manifold past the throttle body, the S65 engine utilizes an air collector atop the ITB's to store a volume of air. In addition, this air collector has integrated velocity stacks which play an important role in engine performance. This air collector is one of the unique pieces of engineering that gicve the S65 V8 an intake noise unlike other V8's. This replacement air collector comes with the M and V8 emblem pre-applied, p/n 11617837738 and p/n 11617837739.

An engine intake manifold is a component that distributes the air–fuel mixture to the engine’s cylinders. It’s mounted on the top or side of the engine and is typically made of aluminum, plastic, or composite materials.
