Product Information

Your BMW's drive belt system is important for numerous reasons. The primary purpose of drive belts is to "drive" the accessories that make your vehicle run and function properly. The N54 engine only uses one serpentine belt but that one serpentine belt is responsible for driving the alternator, power steering pump, and A/C compressor.

The drive belt is not the only component of the drive belt system that's critical. The tensioner dampers and pulleys all play a role in keeping the drive belts properly tensioned and guided under all engine loads. Belts can stretch with higher engine loads and the tensioners and pulleys must maintain proper tension on the belts or they can fall off resulting in serious problems. These components also have a service life and should be replaced as needed.

This comprehensive kit from FCP Euro is designed to service the entire drive belt system in one service. It includes OE Contitech drive belts and all OE INA pulleys/tensioners to ensure a long service life.

Please note: The belt tensioner comes with its own encapsulated bolt and is torqued to 40nm (~29 ft lbs) of torque. The 80mm and 90mm idler pulley both include M10x40 encapsulated mounting bolts which are torque to 38Nm (~28 ft lbs) of torque.

Accessory Drive Belt Kit

An accessory drive belt, also referred to as a serpentine belt, functions by transferring power from the engine crankshaft to various accessories like the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor. Essentially driving these rotating assembles through a series of pulleys with the belt's rotation. It is important to check the belt for cracks, fraying, or excessive wear during routine maintenance, keeping in mind most manufacturers recommend replacing the accessory drive belt at specified mileage intervals, typically between 50,000 and 100,000 miles. Proper tensioning of the belt is also crucial, so while servicing or inspecting an accessory drive belt, it is important to also inspect the belt tensioner and supporting idler pulleys.

Comprehensive Kit
This kit came with a perfect fit tensioner with the pin place for easy install. Belt fits correctly and the all the pulleys came with caps. No fitment issues!

Perfect!
My belt was squealing when my engine was cold. The belt was visibly worn but I decided to replace the pulleys as well. It has been over a year since I replaced them and I have not heard a peep from the belt since. Highly recommend doing this as it could leave you stranded (or have the belt sucked into the engine). The only downside about the install is that you do need to lift the car up to unscrew a single bolt to take the radiator fan out, other than that it's not that difficult.

Great deal and comes with mainly everything. All is oem and in new condition. I'd only say if you buy this, make sure you do not need the power steering pulley, because this does not include that. Otherwise, great buy!

good and bad
You guys sent me the right pulleys and tensioner but you also sent me the wrong serpentine belt it didn't even fit on the pulleys you sent it was so tiny that I don't even think this was for an ac deleted car it literally was. so small and barely thick like the original I had. Luckily got the belt from autozone was pricer but this was my maintenance day and didn't realize till after I brought it to the mechanic sadly just wanted to let you know still love your products but that kinda sucked I had to go buy another one:)

BMW Accessory Drive Belt Kit - 11287628652KT
(E90 n54 335i no oil cooler, rwd, 6-speed manual) Took me 1-2 hours to install, was not difficult. Getting the Torx (T60) on the tensioner is the most difficult part. Very easy with 2 people, possible on your own. Id take the underbelly pan off and get the car on stands. Does help. Keep track of how the pulleys come off with the hardware and the shape/size of what goes where. Be gentle with the hard plastic hose that goes over the fan (which you should remove, I did)

My original N54 tensioner has a dust cap over the mounting bolt. Is there a new dust cap included for this pulley also in the kit? I do not see one in the photo.

A replacement cover is not included with the INA tensioner. You can reuse the existing cap. Unfortunately, BMW does not provide part number information for the caps on the tensioner assembly.

The pulleys have a metal plate that came attached to the bolt on back side, are those supposed to be removed?

The metal plates are intended to be removed before installation. The plates are used for keeping the hardware in place for shipping but they need to be removed prior to installation.

Not sure what the original sizes were off the vehicle but as they stand now the smaller pulley (p/n 11287556251 / 5320515100) is 80mm in diameter and the larger pulley (p/n 11287557851 / 5320514100) is 90mm in diameter.

The mounting bolts are included with the idler pulleys and tensioners. They are encapsulated meaning they are part of the pulley/tensioner assembly. You can also see the head of the bolt (all torx bolts) in each idler pulley and tensioner assembly.
