Designed to properly service ZF A5S560Z (5HP-30) transmissions

This BMW Automatic Transmission service kit includes 7 liters of Fuchs ATF1 auto trans fluid along with a ZF auto trans filter and oil pan gasket. Its important to add fresh transmission fluid once your car gets higher mileage to maintain smooth and precise shifting. This simple service can increase the longevity of your transmission and can be done without going to a garage.

Please keep in mind that the fluid included in this kit is to fill just the oil pan. You will not be able to drain all the fluid from the torque converter without using a machine.

Please verify the type of transmission your BMW has first before ordering this kit. This can be done by looking at the service plate on the drivers side of the transmission.

Transmission Service Kit

The transmission oil filter prevents harmful particulate matter from entering the transmission valve body and damaging valve body bores, solenoids, and other fluid passages. Foreign particles in valve body bores, solenoids, or passages will cause shifting issues. Some of these issues include delayed shifts, harsh shifts, or no gear engagement in extreme cases. Clogged filters can reduce fluid volume and flow in the transmission causing starvation of the transmission pump. This can be identified by an RPM-dependent whine from the transmission bell housing area. The transmission oil filter should be changed during any fluid service, and it is critical to replace the filter if major transmission components are replaced such as the torque converter, transmission pump, or transmission valve body.

Excellent Kit
I used this kit in my 2001 750iL after valve body refurbishment. It worked excellent. I would recommend buying an extra 5L jug of Pentosin ATF after starting up and driving/mixing the fluid to drain and refill (no pan drop) to lighten the fluid. You can do this as many times as your wallet allows until the fluid is clear.

Transmission
It came with everything i needed, only thing is the pump with the hose was a bit uselesss as it was not the correct size to fit on the bottles and it did not have a tube that would stick into the bottle to suck the fluid i had to improvise . none the less i got it to work. i still need to pump a bit more fluid in the transmission as i spilled a ton of it on the flioor so ill be buying another bottle..
