This offering from Hepu is the water pump assembly for select VW/Audi models. This part comes with the thermostat, mounting bolts, and gasket included. Does not include temperature sensor.

Your vehicles engine water pump is responsible for keeping coolant flowing through the engine. As water pumps get old the internal bearing can go bad causing noise and a coolant leak. A good indicator that your water pump is failing is if you see coolant leaking through the water pump.

Listen to the other reviewer - buy the temperature sensor clip
The other reviewer is correct - if you have an older Audi (in my case, 2012 CBFA), the temperature sensor clip will not transfer. Don't try to install it without this retaining clip: 06H121142C. Ask me how I know - the sensor will pop out of the oring, piss coolant all over the road, and you'll be calling AAA for a tow. I'm upset that a $6 clip isn't included with a full water pump kit, and that this change in parts isn't even mentioned in the description for this product.

It fits - Beware of necessary additional temp sensor clip
The pump is listed as a guaranteed fit for the CBFA. While this is true in that it bolts directly to the block, it DOES NOT (necessarily) PLUG AND PLAY perfectly - my 2011 CBFA utilizes a different style temp sensor mounting bracket than this unit offers. You may also need to purchase this part in order to hold the temp sensor in place: VW Coolant Temperature Sensor Clip - Genuine VW 06H121142C. This was unfortunate for me working under a time constraint. The site listing specifies that it does not come with a temp sensor, but I had no way of knowing it utilized a different sensor clip than mine had from the factory. Later models likely have the new style clip.
