Product Information

If your car will not "crank" chances are you have a dead battery or need a new starter. If your dash and headlights turn on, and yet all you get is a "click" when starting you car, you likely need a new starter.

Starter

Starter motors are what get your engine running. In order for an engine to start it must be rotating. The starter motor spins the engine via the flywheel or flex plate while fuel is injected into the engine. Starter motors are very robust and have a long service life but can fail. A failed starter motor will prevent you from being able to start your car.

Starter Failure Symptoms
  • Engine won't turn over despite complete battery charge
  • Starter engages by doesn't spin motor
  • Starter continues to spin after engine start
  • Grinding noise when trying to start engine
