034Motorsport is proud to introduce Density Line Performance Engine/Transmission Mounts for 8V/8S Audi A3/S3/TT/TTS & MkVII Volkswagen Golf/GTI/R! 034Motorsport's Street Density Mounts for MQB platform vehicles deliver unmatched levels of comfort and performance.
Density Line Drivetrain Mounts are engineered with performance in mind, and provide an OEM+ driving experience without sacrificing comfort. Density Line Mounts are void-free and fluid-free, and manufactured from high-durometer rubber to significantly improve performance and longevity over factory mounts. By eliminating the slop associated with the stock mounts, the Density Line Mounts reduce wheel hop, improve response, and offer a more direct, connected driving experience.
Street Density:
The Street Density Engine Mount Pair is manufactured from 50 durometer and 60 durometer rubber, which is approximately 25% stiffer than stock. Since the mounts are also void-free and solid-filled, the resulting is a substantial reduction in drivetrain movement versus the factory mounts.
The result is greatly reduced drivetrain slop, crisper shifting, and minimal wheel hop, without any significant increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) inside of the cabin. These mounts are a completely re-engineered performance solution, not just inserts for use with the factory mounts.

Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicles frame or sub-frame without causing excessive vibrations that can enter the cabin. Engine mounts keep your drive-train properly aligned and if failed can promote drive train vibrations and premature component wear. Over time, your engine mounts deteriorate resulting in extra engine noise, engine rocking, a less enjoyable driving experience, and thus must be replaced.

MK7 Golf TDI 6MT, 135K. The factory mounts were old and collapsing, but not totally failed. I noticed significant slop and rocking/lurching when braking hard at low speeds, or when driving over speedbumps or driveway ramps. These 034 Motorsports mounts resolved all those issues, helped smooth out clutch engagement and shifting, and added no noticeable NVH at idle or while driving. It really does feel like I have a whole new car; spirited driving and downshifting feels so much crisper and effortless. I found these 034 mounts to be well worth the money and time invested to install.
The only other suspension mod is a dogbone insert from 55,000 miles ago, which I'd suggest doing along with these mounts.
I emailed FCP customer service for help selecting all the correct bolts to purchase up front. That saved a lot of time and headache, and I had zero issues during install.
After installing the southbend stage 2 daily on my mk7 GTI 6MT, I had a large shake to the car whenever I let off the gas in 1st/2nd gear. After installing the mount, it went away. Also, I had terrible vibrations from the dogbone mount install. These also went away after installing the new engine/trans mounts. Overall, less vibrations than before since the factory mounts were very worn. Definitely consider this instead of an OEM replacement.
I unfortunately waited longer than 90 days to do this install and therefore cannot return. I did not realize until today that the 034 transmission mount does not support the 09G trans in my 2016 Golf Sportwagen. From what I understand it likely doesn't support the 5-speed manual either but will support the DSG or 6-speed manual. Unfortunately my vehicle year/model is on the supported list despite my year never being offered with anything other than the 5-speed manual or 09G auto.
Anyway, I'm sure these are good mounts. And after further investigation 034 does state this does not work with the automatic trans for my year. But I hope FCP Euro updates their compatibility information and removes these as suggested mounts.
These did not significantly increase NVH. In fact, vibration during idle was reduced after installing these on my Mk7 GLI 6MT with 64K miles. Engine noise is slightly more perceptible in the cabin (could be placebo though) but otherwise this is a great "OEM+" performance upgrade without sacrificing comfort.
Was able to do the replacement myself with an engine brace and ramps. Took my time and drove the bolts in by hand, making sure they went in easy and the engine was siting true by using a pry bar on the engine lift points. Car ride now feels similar to stock with no extra NVH.
Save your money and buy a nice set of BFI mounts both stage 1 and 2 are livable. 034 mounts are made out of bubble gum.
After experiencing a failed Engine Mount at 17K mi, I obviously knew I needed to act quickly to get this fixed. I did my due diligence in researching products on the market and decided on 034's "'Density Line". They are very stout over what the car was even brand new with just a lower insert. I am certain they will hold up better than the stock configuration. The best part is, I purchased thru FCPEuro, and should they fail, I simply Wax on / Wax off....
What I received, for full price, was scuffed up mounts someone else had returned. They were not in 034 packaging, in fact having the previous owner's return address still on the box. The mounts did not appear to have been installed by the previous owner, but the black paint on the transmission mount had been obviously touched up with a brush. Had they been sold as "scratch & dent" at a discount, they would've been fine, but who wants to pay for new parts that aren't? I expected better from my previous experiences as an FCP customer.
