Product Information

Maintain Consistent Spark (Beru OEM Coil Service Kit)

Set of 6 Beru Direct ignition coils

Your ignition coils are responsible for providing voltage to support the spark needed to trigger combustion. Common indicators that you may need to replace your coil includes engine misfire, poor performance or engine misfire codes in your car's computer. You're vehicle won't always show a check engine light when the ignition coils need to be replaced.

We recommend replacing ignition coils every 100k miles for piece of mind and optimal performance.

Common Symptoms of Ignition Coil Failure:

  • Misfiring of engine
  • Reduced engine performance
  • Trouble with vehicle starting
  • Reduced fuel economy
  • Engine backfire
Ignition Coil Kit

An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

Ignition Coil Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Engine misfires: The most prominent sign, causing the engine to jerk or shudder, especially when accelerating, due to inconsistent combustion in one or more cylinders
  • Rough idling: The engine vibrates or shakes noticeably when idling due to uneven firing of cylinders
  • Decreased engine power: The car may feel sluggish or lack acceleration due to incomplete combustion
