A tail light gasket is a rubber or foam seal that fits between the tail light assembly and the vehicle’s body. Its main purpose is to prevent water, dust, and debris from entering the tail light housing or trunk area, while also helping to cushion the light assembly against vibration.

• Water leaks into the trunk or tail light housing, often visible as moisture or condensation inside the lens.
• Electrical issues, such as flickering or shorted tail lights caused by moisture intrusion.
• Wind noise or dust accumulation around the tail light area due to a weakened or cracked seal.
