Audi Engine Crankcase Breather Kit - Hengst 06H103495AKKT

Audi Updated Clear Top Crankcase Breather Kit:

The later EA888 Gen 2 engines were equipped with a "clear-top" engine crankcase breathe valve, commonly referred to as the PCV valve. This valve allows blow-by-gasses to be passed into the engine intake system to be burned as a way to control emissions, while filtering out oil vapors and keeping it in the oil sump. This valve is crucial to the vehicle's emission system, and when it fails it will cause a check engine light to illuminate on your cluster, thereby preventing your ability to pass emission testing.

Common Failures to Look For:

• Excessive Oil Consumption
• Engine Oil Leaks
• Whistling Noises at Idle
• Check Engine Light

This Kit Includes:

• Black-Top PCV Valve
• Breather Hose (From PCV Valve to Intake Manifold)
• Breather Hose (From Turbocharger to PCV Valve)
• Breather Hose Gasket

Direct replacement vs. Conversion Kit:

• If your vehicle's current breather part numbers are 06H103495J, 06H103495AE, or 06H103495AK and your vehicle has a "Clear-Top PCV Valve, then this will be a direct replacement.
• If your vehicle's current breather part numbers are 06H103495A, 06H103495E, 06H103495AC, or 06H103495AH and has a "Black-Top PCV Valve then this will be a conversion kit.

Important Note!

If you fall under the criteria of the conversion kit, you will need to update the front crank seal and have your ECM software level updated at your local Audi dealership. The updated "Clear-Top" breather requires the engine's vacuum system to increase compared to the "Black-Top" version. Because of the updated design breather, you will also need to update your front crank seal. Failure to do so will result in the possibility of the original front crank seal to be destroyed prematurely.

If you are uncertain whether your PCV valve, front crank seal, or ECM software version has been updated, you can contact your local Audi dealership with your VIN to confirm.

The part number you will need to ordered to update your front crank seal is 06L103085B.
