Deck Lid Stop Buffer

The deck lid stop buffer is a small but important component mounted between the trunk lid (deck lid) and the vehicle body. Its primary function is to cushion and stabilize the deck lid when closed, preventing metal-to-metal contact, reducing noise, and ensuring proper alignment. Typically made from durable rubber or urethane, the stop buffer absorbs impact, minimizes vibrations, and helps maintain a secure, rattle-free fit of the trunk lid.

  • Trunk lid rattling or vibration noises – caused by worn or missing buffers.
  • Misaligned or uneven deck lid closure – indicates buffers are damaged or compressed.
