A CV joint boot serves to protect the axle joint and axle by keeping out dirt, water, and debris while preserving the grease that lubricates the joint. As a vital component of the drivetrain system, it enables the wheels to move in coordination with the vehicle’s suspension. Regular inspection of CV boots is essential, and they should be replaced before any signs of failure appear.
