Overtime your vehicle's A/C system will lack in performance and will require some level of maintenance. The A/C Condenser is in charge of turning refrigerant gas into liquid to ensure your system stays cool. When this unit fails it can cause your A/C system to feel warm, cause refrigerant leaks, or make your A/C system inoperative. You will also notice an A/C pressure switch installed on the condenser which monitors the pressure in the vehicle's A/C system which is electronically controlled. During the life of the vehicle the electronics in the pressure switch can short out causing error codes and turning the A/C system off. When replacing the A/C condenser it is also important to replace the A/C receiver drier. The receiver drier is responsible for collecting condensation and contaminants in the system and acts like a filter.
