Volvo Cooling Parts

Volvo came out with their first automobile in 1927, which established them as a credible and advanced brand from the start, on the island of Hisingen, Göteborg. Since then, Volvo has exploded from that small area and into being one the best auto market global leaders and manufacturers of vehicles, and more specifically, cooling parts and components. Volvo’s water pump operates as the center of the cooling system. The water pump, normally driven by a belt and pulley system, has interior impellers that rotate at a high level of speed to help move water. The faster your Volvo drives, the larger the quantity of coolant that will be needed in the engine. Water pumps can become faulty for numerous reasons, including flawed seals, bearings, impellers and belts. As a Volvo owner, you can help to diagnose some early symptoms of failure within the water pump by inspecting for signs that point directly to the water pump. If your Volvo starts to heat up too much and stays in that temperature range, you are usually looking at a water pump issue. If your Volvo coolant level stays at the correct setting does not have any leaks, and the thermostat is working well, this high temperature could point toward worn out water pump impellers that may have rust or be chipped. Sometimes these impellers can become damaged, plummeting the circulation pressure. FCP Euro has a broad stock of always updated Volvo coolant parts and components, as well as versatile Volvo products.

In order to find your Volvo’s water pump leak, you can put a piece of paper underneath the water pump leave it overnight after you have driven it for a bit. Examining the paper the next morning will show you if there are any leaks. If there are, the paper will have a green or orange discoloration from your coolant. This possible leak can come from the water pump housing gasket or the hole beneath the water pump. A damaged water pump bearing can create specific noises when they have worn or are not working properly. They have a low growl type of noise when you are driving your Volvo. This sound can be heard mainly when your Volvo is idling. If you put a screwdriver against the top of the pump’s casing and listen to the other end against your ear, this will expand and separate the noise. If there are areas of rust or pieces of metal inside the bearing caps, this cal also force out the sounds and at times, scraping. If your bearings are damaged or broken, this means you have to replace your water pump. Whether you are having problems with your Volvo Radiator or Volvo Cooling Fan, FCP Euro has them in stock.
