There are low and high markings on the dipstick to show you the correct level. Top off your transmission by putting a funnel into your dipstick tube and pouring the fluid into your funnel. Make sure to not overfill, as this can bring on slippage, overheating, and transmission failure. Inspect the transmission fluid in the final drive, the second part of the transmission that is the differential gear and unit that rotates your wheels. To examine this, take out the filler hole plug on the side of your Saab’s transmission case at the right gear. Fill with transmission fluid to or right under the bottom of the filler hole.
