BMW Rear View Mirror Parts
Quality is a BMW requirement that the brand has made vital throughout history, ever since their first vehicle. They have made vehicles with modernized designs, all with a vow to keep producing inventive vehicles. They have a vast product line, which has pushed them into growing into a global auto leader, and even in their rear view mirror parts and components. If your BMW’s rear view mirror has fallen off you have to repair it quickly, as it is dangerous to drive without it. Your rear view mirror helps stop accidents by letting you see behind you, which is something you cannot do well without. There is no need to have a mechanic install the mirror for you. You can save money doing it yourself at home. The most crucial step in this process is to get your BMW’s windshield ready for the job. Take off all old adhesive from your windshield with a gasket scraper and glide the edge of the scraper's blade below the edge of the old adhesive. Continue scraping it off. Clean the windshield with some paper towels and window cleaner. Do this to get the glass surface ready for the new adhesive, as it will not adhere to the glass if the surface has any remaining residue. If you have questions about BMW’s ear view mirror parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website are constantly available.

Use your gasket scraper to take off as much old adhesive as possible from the attachment piece on your BMW’s rear view mirror and then wipe off all old adhesive and dust from sanding using a dry cloth. Cut off the end of a tube of rear view mirror adhesive with a knife. Make the cut 1/8 of an inch from the end of the tube at an angle in order to put it on easier. Squeeze a small amount of the adhesive onto the attachment piece of the rearview mirror. Use the tip of the tube to spread the adhesive on the piece so it is covered with a thin layer. It is a good idea to do this repair at night or at another time you will not have to drive. This will allow your adhesive to dry without being disrupted. Hold your BMW’s rear view mirror up to the windshield and push the mirror onto the windshield, gliding it into position. Look at the mirror closely to see if it is straight and then adjust accordingly. Keep the pressure on the mirror's attachment piece once it is straight for one or two minutes. Let the adhesive to dry for about 12 hours before adjusting the mirror. Wait to drive your BMW until the adhesive is totally dry, so you can adjust the mirror before driving it.
