BMW Blower Motor Parts
BMW has a tradition for focusing on quality and modern designs, all the while forcing the competition to keep up with them. BMW is part of Germany’s three large auto producers, along with Audi and Mercedes. Together, they make up the three top selling luxury vehicle brands in the world. Their position speaks for itself and flows into their products, especially their blower motor parts and components. The resistor in your BMW’s blower motor is in charge of transferring the electrical current that is needed to move air through the vents of your vehicle. Blower motor resistors will become worn out over time. The blower motor will then not work properly, but there are numerous ways to figure out what to look for when the resistor of the blower motor in your BMW is faulty. Recognizing these problems and replacing the resistor will bring back the airflow through your vehicle to the proper levels. When the resister of your BMW’s blower motor starts to become faulty, the motor operates only intermittently. This usually presents itself as the blower fan not kicking on until the engine is generating a certain level of electrical current. The higher current can make the jump across the resistor contacts that are faulty and get the blower motor to engage. Your blower motor could stop working again on longer drives when your BMW is at a cruising speed and the electrical current of the motor drops again. This is not what you want nor should you take the chance and get stuck out there on the road. The lower settings of your BMW’s blower motor require less electrical current to engage. But when the resistor of the motor is failing, it produces a larger gap between the connectors. This gap may be too far for the electric current to travel across, so when this occurs, the lower settings of the blower motor are not able to function. The top setting of the blower motor may still be working though. If you have questions about BMW’s blower motor parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website are always accessible.

A reduction in airflow is when the blower motor is trying to move air through the vents of your BMW, but the resistor is not sending enough power to move the air. The blower motor resistor is receiving power, but not the right amount of it. Reduced air movement can be brought about at all of the different speed settings. Depending on how much resistor is still operative, the reduced airflow could be an intermittent issue.
