Easy install and good quality
Comes pre-greased and easy to install. Make sure to safely support the weight of the trunk when popping out the first support. Ask my shoulder how I know..

Tailgate Strut - no more cracked skulls
Part fit and video online gave me the direction to install with a little bit of finesse.

Fits perfect
2004 XC70 rear hatch was sagging. Upon removal and inspection, both original struts were leaking oil as evidenced by oil film on strut body and body trim panels. Easy to change the struts. Most difficult part was removing/replacing plastic trim parts. Check online video for details. If your hatch is drooping, change the struts.

Strut Replacement
Works Great -- Be sure to replace in pairs. Take your time with removal of the plastic body parts to get to the struts. Definitely worth while removing all plastic panel parts to be able to access the retaining clips for these struts. Helpful to view You Tube video before starting project.

very good
These struts work great and are a great price. I have sound deadening on my tailgate, adding about 3-5 pounds of weight, and these new struts handle it just fine. The install was a bit annoying with the little clips being tricky to reach at some angles but wasn't too challenging.

Perfect fit, replaced a pair with over 15 years of duty. Install/removal is a little more challenging than it should be with the removal/reinstallation of the retaining pins taking up the majority of the time.

Did the trick...
I bought a pair of these to put in my 01 V70 T5. Got tired of propping up the rear gate with an old ski pole...If you got 25-45 minutes you can throw these in yourself, its not terrible. Getting the black safety clips off and back on can be a bit tricky/annoying, but be patient and you won't crack any of the plastics or dirty up the upholstery. I did not remove the plastic cover behind the tail lights, just loosened it half way and worked my way around that. You may need a second person to hold the gate up while you install the new ones, as I found that it has to be pushed up to its absolute limit for the new struts to fit and firmly click in. The gate stays up proper now...I would suggest that you do both at the same time to save yourself some aggravation when the other one fails a month later... ; )

Mr.
04 V70 2.5T - fit perfectly but the C clips are a pain to remove and reinstall. Well worth the price and they work great. Hatch opens quickly - must stand back now or get hit in the chin.
