This is a cheap insurance policy for preventing leaks, and a damaged connector/harness. For the cost, I would swap this with every trans service. I replaced this with the car on jack stands so I didn't have a lot of leverage to fully seat this connector. I had to use a screw driver as a lever to help seat it. Do not over tighten this either because you'll damage the conductor plate. Just snug it down

cheap insurance, perfect fit.
Added one of these into my transmission service kit - wasn't leaking (yet), but the lock release ring on my old one actually crumbled to pieces when I went to take it off. Glad I went to the trouble!

If you own a Chrysler Crossfire, this is the part you are looking for. It's the update version that should fix the leak. Great product as always!
