Helps a lot with the inherent lifter tick from my car's engine (BMW M42). Ticking only persists for about 5 seconds after a cold start rather than the previous whole minute. Would recommend using this with a good quality synthetic oil.

There was a noticeable different in the lifter noise...not as noticeable as before.

My E46 would often get lifter tick even when overfilling the oil at Autocross. I tried this recently at the track and the engine remained smooth and quiet all day. Highly recommended if you have the M54 engine.
