2006 Bmw N52 engine <- Will it work?
My N52 has 127k miles with the original head and block. The engine runs extremely smooth and seems that it is very very strong and healthy.
The only issues I noticed is that inside the valve cover under and around the filler cap opening has a large amount of burnt oil, build up of extemely small particles of silicone, gasket, grease, dirt, and dirty gasses mixed into a engine sludge that is on some internal springs and on other cylinder head parts inside the valve cover housing.
I also have slight tapping from the valves during start up and idle, I hardly ever reach high RPMs and when driving around town I never go over 2000-3000 RPM and head this can cases hydraulics on the lifters to get stuck if the engine does not run high engine RPMs regularly.
Will liquimoly engine flush and then an moly oil change kit with engine additive along with intake lifter additive.

Noticeably quieter at start up and cold idle, within just a few days.

I love this stuff! My BMW m60 engine LOVES to tap away, but this significantly reduces the noise. Highly recommended.

Liqui Molt Hydraulic Lifter Additive
1998 Mercedes Benz SL500 developed a ticking noise at 163,000 miles. Ticking noise goes away driving on the freeway but comes back in city driving or while sitting in traffic. I tried adding a quart of Marvel Mystery oil drove for about 400 miles. That did not stop the ticking. I then changed the oil used Mobile One 10w30 full synthetic and added two quarts of Rislone engine treatment as per instructions drove about 2000 miles but that did not stop the ticking. I then flushed the engine with Liqui Moly oil flush and added the Liqui Moly Hydraulic lifter additive and topped up the crank case with Mobile One 10w 30 full synthetic. The tappet noise did not go away. It did not work for me but worth a try. I wiil be replacng the lifters next week.

My 1988 Mercedes 560SL began making some tapping noises due to lack of proper lubrication but after using this product alongside Liqui Moly 10w40 semi synthetic engine oil with MoS2 Anti-Friction blend it has worked wonders! The engine is smooth and runs properly both cold & hot with no noise whatsover! My engine is a 5.6L V8 with requirement of 9L of Oil, so I would suggest one to one and half for your vehicle depending the noise and problem, as I only used one in mine due to the blend of oil I am currently using. Overall highly recommend as the results are instantaneous!

With something like this you always run the risk of hearing what you want to, but this did seem to make the lifters in my 85k mile AMG quieter. Will buy again.

I have some of the noisiest lifters known to man. Poured this in after an oil change, and by the next cold start my lifters were dramatically quieter. They were still loud and noticeable, but now they can only be heard with the hood up. After another oil change, they got a little louder but not by much. Nothing like they were before, so whatever this stuff does it does work and not just while it's in the crankcase.
