Hi would this oil work with a 2012 535X drive both front and rear differentials? I plan on removing the fluid from the fill hole with a pump.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
It can be used alternatively to the factory recommended hypoid gear oil.

I just picked up a 2013 335i xDrive and wanted to change out the differential fluids for the front and rear. Would this be suitable. It's an automatic if that helps
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
2013 is a split model year between the F3X chassis and E9X chassis. That makes a difference in terms of recommended gear oils. Please contact service@fcpeuro.com with your VIN so we can assist you further.

I have a 2004 Mercedes SLK 320 with a 6 speed manual transmission. Is this oil a suitable replacement for the factory transmission oil? If so, how much do I need? Thanks!
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This fluid is suitable for your differential
Question Posted by John
Good evening hope all is well. I would like to know if its recommended for this oil to be used in my differential front and back? Also how much oil is needed? Or should i stick with the Mercedes gear oil? My vehicle is a 2006 Mercedes R 350 4matic
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Stick with the Genuine fluid, the bearings in your front differential are failure prone so change the fluid frequently and have the differential inspected at the first sign of noise. 1 bottle should be sufficient.

Would this work for my 2011 BMW Xdrive front differential? My build date is 11/2010 and there is some confusion regarding what fluids to use within certain build dates. Thanks
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Gear oil spec depends on the chassis/model. We would need year/model information to provide further information/confirm what is needed. Generally the switch from 75W90 to the hypoid oils is for fuel efficiency reasons. Please provide your vehicle info to service@fcpeuro.com so we can confirm what you need.

I am planning to change differential fluid on my 2005 BMW X3 automatic transmission. How much fluid I need for both front and rear? Also can I use this for both of them?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This gear oil is fine for the front and rear diff. 1 liter is needed for the front, 1.5 liters is needed for the rear.

Can this be used in the rear diff on a 2010 Volvo XC60 AWD? The Volvo fluid seems to be 75w-90 and GL-5. Liquid-moly site lists this as the product for that application but I cannot really find anything on the internet of other Volvo owners using this oil, several references to people using the Redline 75w90 GL5 product but nothing on the LM2048
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, this oil can be used as well for your Volvo. It meets the API GL-5 specification.

Does this meet the 235.7 spec for my 2009 W164 ML350? Can this be used in the front and rear differential? Do you offer new fill and drain plugs for the front and rear differential?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This fluid does not have MB approval for 235.7 nor is it recommended by the manufacturer (Liqui Moly) for your application.
