This was on my 2003 530i from May 2013 to today (April 1, 2020). The gasket on the brass screw started leaking and I replaced it with a BMW OEM plastic one. I admit that seven years of great and I think I got my money's worth from this screw. I just wanted others to know that they will fail eventually.

Easier to tighten/loosen. Much smoother than plastic
The brass is softer than I expected.

Perfect fit. Get some of these and save yourself the headache. When you snap a plastic screw in the expansion tank, you will wish you had these

Obvious upgrade from flimsy OEM bleeder screw. Get one when you change your cooling system.

better than a plastic one
I prefer a metal screw. I had a plastic one break on me before.

Fit perfect, still recommend the copper screw.

far more resilient than the factory plastic piece i was constantly afraid of snapping the head off. my only fear is a cross-thread, but if you don't take it out, shouldn't happen.
