Soft brass means a screwdriver can easily scratch up the surface
I understand why these are made from brass - far more durable than plastic, but soft enough to prevent damaging the expansion tank or coolant hose. But c'mon, these are super easy to bang up. A steel insert for the top would make these perfect (and way more expensive). Still an awesome replacement for the failure-prone plastic.

Excellent Coolant Bleeder Screw
Avoid the problems with the plastic bleeder screws getting old and brittle, these brass ones are not going to break. I recommend making this change if you have not and definitely replace them if doing any major work on the cooling system.

Functional and nice it comes with the gasket. The reason to get this: avoid the cracked plastic screw that can end up in the cooling system blocking a passage causing a cooling system failure. Ask me how I know...
