My transmission had a bad shift when going from a stop 1-2nd gear. My F32 428i’s transmission broke down literally 200 miles after buying it and they fixed it under warranty and told me the “valve body went bad” which is hilarious to me because the only way in these ZF transmissions for the valve body to go bad is if you botched a trans service and forgot to remove the O-ring on the integrated filter to the pan from the valve body and installed the new one during service and double O-ring/gasketededed it causing a loss of oil pressure and horrible result for the torque converter. They warrantied it but I felt bad off the line or stop light shifting for the next 35k miles with this tranny. I presumed that they didn’t check the fluid level in it and I bought this awesome kit online and went to work. Vehicle was level on jackstand and a pair of rhino ramps and swapped the filter/pan and torqued the bolts to 10nm. I noticed they used red trans fluid instead of the clearish looking ZF fluid. Maybe they were in a hurry. Did the fluid level check and man I burned my hand and arm on that exhaust because they put it right next to the fill hole on the trans. Car shifts 50% better but still got that weird slipping feeling in stop and go traffic. I think they reused the solenoids from before but I’m happy with how the work turned out!

I priced this same kit at my local BMW dealer and the price difference was astronomical. FCP EURO is the best place for all you BMW needs and this kit was perfect.

I installed this on my 2015 535X with 125k and now I can barely feel the car shifting gears- its that good! Car just takes off from stop light to stop light now and kicks down quicker. I would consider it an upgrade.

Changed the Trans Fluid, which FCP Euro made a straight forward process via video. Thanks for that. This is updated trans pan with 12 bolts instead of 13 like OEM. Glad I changed because shifting was a little loose and clunking. Cleared up a bit. Cleared up even better after I determined Front Diff Oil was not there and, thereafter, replenished with Liqui Moly. Shifts much smoother/quieter and believe it will shift better after replacing rear transfer case fluid with the Shell Product. Overall good experience with FCP Euro and the products. Will buy from again.

Serviced my transmission on my f10 535i and the pan and oil work amazing, definitely recommend as a substitute to the more expensive BMW transmission oil.

This kit is the exact factory kit for BMW ZF. It came with all parts needed, excellent quality and a must for automatic transmissions. Remember, if you are changing your fluid ZF transmissions require a level surface and a certain temperature for the transmission while filling, easy when following instructions. Make sure to loosen the fill bolt BEFORE removing the drain bolt to ensure you can fill it back up. --Matt
