Absolutely fantastic kit. Put this on a 2015 328d and it worked perfectly. The fill plug on the diesel models are difficult to get to, so make sure you're able to get that plug out first. If you're only doing a drain and fill, it took 5 qts. It's amazing BMW insists these are "lifetime" filters and fluid. I have 70k miles on the car, and there was a noticeable difference after the filter change. It shifts like butter now. Super happy. Highly recommend this package.

Plastic trans pan with the filter built in so disposable. Too funny. Kit had everything I needed and I'm assuming I saved many hundreds of dollars doing it myself with the help of my quickjacks. Make sure you have BimmerLink/Code to read trans temps when refilling.

Great kit for DIY transmission Service. Has everything you need!

I purchased this kit to service the transmission in my ‘17 x5 35i. One issue that I encountered was that stupid crossmember blocking the 3 bolts toward the rear of the vehicle. I used a short t40 torx bit and paired it with a long 1/4” wrench to break them loose, then used a long flathead screwdriver to remove them completely. To install, I did this in reverse. This part isn’t really shown well in the instruction video. The torquing diagram provided in the fcpeuro guide is also different. Their diagram has 14 bolts, but my 8hp transmission only had 13, so I just made sure to stagger the torquing appropriately to get a proper seating. All in all, it went on properly, and my x5’s transmission shifts more smoothly than ever.

Excellent kit. Everything fit just fine and there are no leaks. Plus the amount of fluid you get is more than enough for the amount you'll get out by simply dropping the pan. If I recall I got about 3-4 bottles worth out so that's what I topped it up with. Great kit for a great price. Thanks FCP euro. The warranty especially makes this worth it. 328D
