perfect fit
Not having a lift getting the car up high enough was the main issue. Actual replacement was easy.

2017 bmw m240i
Installed this yesterday, so far so good on my 2017 m240i convertible, the gasket doesnt cover everything sticks out a bit at the edge compared to oem, but no leaks so far everything is good, car shofts so much smoother, it feels a lil less agressive with the shifts but its smooth as butter so no complaints there, was just concerned about the gasket sticking out the back right edge a bit but its sealed good so no leaks which is all that matters to me

Everything in the kit was good except the pan itself. The right rear corner of the pan say too close to the inner lip on the transmission and caused a leak. Ended up buying a pan and new fluid through bmw which solved the issue. I am bot usually a person to say buy oem but in this case i 100% recommend buying the oem pan minimum

BMW Automatic Transmission Service Kit
Excellent kit assembled by FCPEuro! A couple of tips from my first German car repair...Pay close attention on how to safely elevate and secure the car (I struggled on where to locate a hydraulic jack to elevate the rear in order to place jack stands); call a tech at FCPE if needed. Getting the new fluid into the transmission...for DIYers a simple hand pump that will fit a gallon jug or liter bottles and additional clear tubing worked great. I dumped several liters of ATF into a clean, dry gallon plastic jug. The clear tubing allows you to pump the fluid from next to the car and not underneath it. Their angled, metal, ATF filling adapter (CTA-7411) is a must as the fill plug is right next to the exhaust pipe. Finally, using a small trigger clamp with rubber feet, gently clamping the ATF filling adapter tube onto the splash shield bracket that is right next to the transmission fill plug kept the fill tube and tubing secure as I pumped and refilled the gallon jug.

No fitment issues, included a brand new set of bolts and fill plug. Found my vehicle shifts alot smoother now, you can't even feel it upshifting when driving around town. Had more than enough fluid in kit, no issues encountered during service.

This service kit really has everything needed. So far everything runs a lot smoother, 0 leaks, all hardware was great and installation was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Review of ZF lower pan/filter
I wish I had read the reviews for this part before ordering. While it's doing the job, it's a poorer copy of the ZF's pan/filter than expected. As mentioned above, it's total perimeter is smaller than the original, so it's gasket does not seal in the same area used by the OE part. While it still holds fluid, why not make it the same size as the OE part? Secondly the cooling fins on the botttom are not as large as the original which could affect fluid temperatures in extreme conditions and the pan has one fewer magnets designed to catch iron-based debis that might shed from transmission above. While it's appreciated that this part is less expensive than one might get at a BMW dealer, I fail to understand why this vendor would skimp on the pan's size and design. For a couple of dollars more in plastic, the customer would get a copy closer to the original.
