Question Posted by Artur
I have 2020 X5 sDrive40i G05, it's rear wheel drive. I'm planning to check transmission fluid and pan/filter. BMW dealer said oil pan and filter part# is 24115A13115. I just want to make sure with you before placing the order that this kit is going to work for rear wheel drive model sDrive40i. Thank you!

Will this fit a RWD 2017 BMW 540i. Also, do you recommend to change the trans fluid at 73k or no?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
BMW may not recommend doing so at this mileage if under any type of still applicable warranty, but ZFs general recommendation is 80k to 120k mile services.

Question Posted by Clive
realoem.com(BH14160) shows 24118612901 pan for my vehicle. My concern is that my vehicle 2018 f36 xdrive has the GA8HP50X transmission. I noticed only after ordering the kit that in an older post, it was stated that the kit does not fit the GA8HP50X transmission which my vehicle has. I'm confused since the actual pan part number of my vehicle matches your kit listing?

If you were to email our service department at service@fcpeuro.com with your VIN number we can confirm the fitment of this kit for you or point you towards the correct version.
Question Posted by a customer
Why would this exact pan not work on a 2020 BMW X3 xDrive? I see one of the OE numbers listed for this part is: 24115A13115. According to BMW of South Atlanta at this link: https://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/oem-parts/bmw-trans-pan-24115a13115?c=bD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHMmYT1ibXcmbz14MyZ5PTIwMjAmdD14ZHJpdmUzMGkmZT0yLTBsLWw0LWdhcw%3D%3D this pan should be a fit for a 2020 X3 xDrive. Why am i being told to purchase a start stop accumulator when that isn’t what I need to replace? Please advise.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
For your application you would not have either the GA8HP45Z or GA8HP70Z transmission codes. And your pan would require the replacement of an accumulator along with the pan and fluid.

Would this kit work for my 2020 BMW X3 30i? If so, would the Liqui Moly kit that you guys have with this pan also work or no? Just curious as the Liqui Moly kit is $100 cheaper
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No, on your application assuming xdrive 30i you would use a different pan, filter, and fluid that I have listed below. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-auto-start-stop-pressure-accumulator-replacement-kit-24345a13153kt

Question Posted by Cameron
Hi, I asked the question about would this kit work for the GA8HP50X transmission, on that post, I was told no it would not work. I emailed my vin in, and was told via email that this kit WOULD work based off of my vin. I have a 2018 340i XDRIVE, with the GA8HP50X transmission. My vin is WBA8B7C54JA576891. Please advise if this will work or not?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yea, I see that separate question where someone with a similar vehicle asked the same question. But I pulled up your VIN number and the transmission your car is equipped with GA8HP50X I come up with the below. https://realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=8B73-USA-04-2018-F30N-BMW-340iX&diagId=24_1463 There is a slight difference in the pan and accumulator for the transmission that is not like that which is found on the GA8HP45Z, I ran this through the BMW team here to verify, and we worked to add a ZF OE version of this pan so we can get a more cost effective OE option up. But to confirm, your VIN, your transmission would use a different kit part number. We will work to put a complete kit together for it. Your Pan kit part number is 24347544930 listed below. https://www.fcpeuro.com/BMW-parts/340i-xDrive/?year=2018&m=20&e=17477&t=5&b=5&d=15456&v=&keywords=24347544930 And the correct fluid for that kit is Lifeguard 8 from ZF listed below. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/lifeguard-8-automatic-transmission-fluid-1-liter-s67109031201 Apologies for the confusion there on the older Q&A, but I double and tripled check now using your VIN number and this is what is coming up for your application according to BMW.
