My first install of this kit and experience on my 07 335I conv. N54 with only 80K miles. Wow! I highly recommend this kit and per/FCP Euro, it is really essential for servicing the ZF trans 6HP19 series w/mechatronic unit. Why I purchased this kit? I had a leak at the back of the trans getting fluid onto my exhaust. This was from the mechatronic sleeve adapter for the electrical plug-in harness connection. Plus at only 80K miles, I wanted to completely service/refresh the trans although I had no shifting issues at all. While working in engineering most of my life, I took the time to research the install before hand. Therefore, setting aside extra days to make sure it went well. The installation was going smooth until it was time to install the sleeve for the electrical connection on the backside of the trans (you know, the one sleeve that was leaking). This should always be the last step of installing the parts from this kit (other than the oil). Getting the old sleeve out was easy but getting the new sleeve back into place was hell. I have big hands which made it really hard to fit the sleeve into it's proper groove and then rotate it in order to line-up the key-way on the sleeve to the key-way on the backside of the mechatronic unit. I was determined that I would not lower the trans mount just to make it easier to install this particular sleeve. However, the real challenge for me was pushing the sleeve into place to create the seal that's needed into the back of the trans housing and into the back of the mechatronic unit, when there is little to no room at all to do so (darn... BMW engineering). Next, you have to get it sealed before being able press the locking devise on the mechatronic unit. This engages/locks the new sleeve into place on the mechatronic unit. That locking connection is a hard one to push back into place. Next was the electronic adapter connection, once the sleeve was in place and you have locked the sleeve to the mechatronic unit. Getting electrical adapter twisted to make the final electrical connection is tough too, so I used a box-end wrench on the locking-tab to aide in getting it twisted back into its locking position. Finally installing trans oil, then getting the trans up to temp, and then topping off the trans oil as the final step. I followed the ZF Transmission w/mechatronic 66(pg) doc. that I found which helped me tremendously with the service steps and notes for doing so. After the install, my trans shifts like a brand "NEW" one! A big thanks to FCP Euro for all that you guy's do for us, Steven

I got the full kit with 7 quarters of Fluid but the fluid is not enough

This service kit was perfect. Just wish solenoids were also included for a truly one stop transmission overhaul. This kit, plus new solenoids made my transmission like new. Amazing.

Great kit has everything required and uses good quality parts. Wish it included the torque diagram for the mechetronic unit.

Great Price with all the the parts you need to replace My Car X5 2007 with 120,000 Miles would not stay in DRIVE kick back to park because of bad seals. This package comes with all the necessary seals that fixed my car remember there is no life time transmission fluid like Dealer said the seals go bad and must be replaced.
