2009 X5 transmission slipping
This kit was a life saver!!!! It brought my X5 back to life and knowing that everything is OEM is even better. Local dealer didn’t even have all of the parts for the kit and wanted over 2X what you guys sell it for. Thanks for the awesome parts and service!!!!!

I installed this service kit a few days after it arriving, and already the vehicle shifts a whole lot smoother! Lifetime warranty and exceptional customer support have won FCPEuro a new lifetime customer!

Resolved 1-2 jerk downshifting and upshifting
228k miles 2006 525xi struggled a bit to shift up from 1->2, kinda jerky downshifts, not smooth as it should, which is reasonable for the mileage. This vehicle had transmission maintenance done at ~ 130k miles so I was confident that at least it wasn't gonna be a total sludge. I was able to do all this in my driveway (ramps and jacks) after seeing a couple of repair guides (shoutout to shoplife tv). After the sleeves where replaced and the fluid filled (measure 42*C temp with the car running for final fill) I reset the adaptations and performed the relearning procedure (Software P). First time I started the car after reset it went into limp mode but and almost kicked me off the seat when shifting but I turned it off and on and it went away. The relearning was done (first 3 times it was choppy shifting, last one barely felt it) and now it shift smooth like butter, no jerkiness from 1->2 or 2->1 and just a barely noticeable shift, pretty sure it compensated for a lack of low end torque I'm experiencing from random misfire, improving the fuel consumption as well. Beware, the bolts on the pan are low torque (8 ft°lb) and easy to brake, like I did by using a cheap torque wrench (ALWAYS USE GOOD TORQUE WRENCH). Im running with one less bolt seems fine for now, might rethread if a leak develops (ouch), with the second ATF change. Saw 3-4 small bronze colored shaving in pan, so the plates where starting to slip. Good time to replace the sleeves and reset which increases contact between plates. PS The sleeve connector Is a pain to remove (I have bigger hands) but if you push on it upwards and then pull downwards it eventually comes out. To put it back in just be patient and don't forget to clean with an electrical safe cleaner.

Transmission problems fixed
One day the transmission started jerking when coming to a stop. Car had 145k miles at the time. I did more troubleshooting and research and found out it was the common 2-1 "bump" upon downshifting. Used this kit to replace the filter, oil, pan, and sleeves. I also replaced all of the shifting solenoids which were not found in this kit. After installation and an adaptation reset the transmission is shifting better than ever. Upshifts are perfect and downshifts are fine as well. One thing to note if you have the jerking when coming to a stop you will need to do the adaptation reset because even after installing this kit and the solenoids the problem was not fixed. Only after doing the reset the problem was fixed completely. It's been 5 months since the work was done and the transmission is still shifting well.

Very Satisfied!
The ordered came promptly and nicely shipped. I used this service kit to repair and fix my transmission code 4f81 with no reverse. It was the cracked seal that failed on my 335i. I had ordered the gear selector and solenoid kit as well, just in case but wasn't necessary. Thank you FCP Euro, I will be using you again for my future BMW needs!

Transmission kit
I had been stock piling parts for my 335i, I was out of town working when the kit was delivered and didn't get home to check it out for a couple weeks. Parts looked good, it was missing the transmission fluid. My wife didn't know any better when she stuck the boxes in the garage. So note to self, make sure you tell your wife everything you buy, otherwise you could end up like me buying the missing part of the shipment.
