2004 330xi. Swapped out the old mechanical tensioner and upgraded with this kit. At ~110,000 the old one needed to go. Perfect fitment. This part fixed an extremely annoying chirping noise at idle. If you are like me have been scratching you head wondering why your pulley bearings seem fine but you are still getting a weird chirping noise at idle and low RPM…this might be the ticket.

The pulley on this tensioner was starting to wear out after 14 years and nearly 55,000 miles, indicated by completely free spinning, dry bearing noise, and lateral looseness. This high quality OEM part and the included hardware is great for refreshing this crucial part of the belt system.
