Worked great for my 2001 BMW 325xiT. I don't know what the other reviewer meant when he said this is the wrong tensioner. This is most definitely the exact match for the main accessory belt and it was a very easy install. I haven't had it in for long but this is quality I can assure you.

Nothing is better than having quality OEM parts to replace defective/problematic ones. I was getting a slight squeak under the hood and I like my vehicle running silent. Because my E53 has accumulated a little more than a decade, I replaced all the pulleys, belt tensioner, water pump, the water pump pulley and the serpentine belt. The noise is gone and she runs like a champ!
