Perfect fit
This was the replacement hydraulic tensioner that I had to buy to replace the other mechanical one in the other kit. This one fits perfect and when engine runs, there is virtually zero noise.

Belt Tensioner Kit
It worked out excellent but I have yet to get rid of the squealing noise. Next change on the list is the alternator. Thank you

Same Tensioner as OE, Good Part
Replaced my 8 year old BMW hydraulic tensioner with this INA hydraulic tensioner assembly. It was actually cheaper to just buy this entire INA hydraulic kit versus trying to replace the strut and bearings. Fit, finish, design, and quality seem to be 100% exact match compared to the BMW (INA) part at a fraction fo the cost. This same part cost me $700.00 installed at the dealer 8 years ago when I had a squealing belt. Don't forget to slowly move it through its range of motion, paste at end of travel for a few seconds, do this a few times to get the oil flowing internally after you installed it. Tensioner to engine block torque specs for the mounting bolts are the same as the mechanical tensioner (22 FT LBS). Lower bolt on the strut portion will seem like it don't want to torque because the bushing inside has to compress and seat when you tighten it down. Don't worry, it will torque down, just take it slow. Works like a charm. Old hydraulic tensioner was a bit dry internally and seemed a little stiff to move where this one is very smooth, responsive and moves more freely, so YES, they do wear just like a mechanical tensioner, just much more durable. Good luck.

Great deal
The original tensioner asked for a break after 170,000km... FCP and I responded accordingly.

happy customer
Support gave me the SKU# and happily find out price with life time warranty is even cheaper than that on ebay. This kit fits both driver and AC belt.

Excellent and super easy to install
Mine had the Torx bold or destroyed so I ordered a extractor on Amazon to remove it. Super easy to remove it so I replace the whole thing with this new Belt Tentioner. Excellent and super easy to install. No more squeaky bearing. For a 16 year old car and still the original Tentioner. It lasted very long. And now with the lifetime warranty, truly there’s nothing to lose here. Thank you.
