This kit is beautiful with all new hardware and even the plastic covers to protect from dirt entering the bearing areas. Very nice and essential to have all this hardware if you're converting from the old spring loaded tensioner style to this new hydraulic style tensioner as the hardware is not the same from one to the other. The pulley seized on my old tensioner so I could've just replaced the pulley but instead I decided to switch to this new hydraulic style. I think it will be a little bit of an upgrade with smoother action and hold tension better than the older spring loaded version. However, once I installed it, I found it wouldn't hold tension on the belt. After some side by side comparison with the old spring loaded tensioner, I realized the pulleys are not located at the same location/angle. So I popped down to the parts store with my old belt and got 4 different size shorter belts, came back and test fitted until I found the best size, and it works like a charm. I returned the belts I didn't use for a refund. This is the same process I went through when deleting my power steering. The parts are all OE and excellent quality! FCP ALWAYS has the best stuff!!

Nobody else found it extremely hard to release tension to put the belt on?

Purchased for a M50B25TU, this is a replacement of the mechanical tensioner. This design update was an upgrade compared to the original mechanical tensioner due to complaints of whining.
