Question Posted by Solomon
Can I use this for front and rear differentials for a 2018 330i XDrive? Does this come with a fill and drain plug?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, this meets specs for both front and rear diffs on your 330i xDrive. This is just the oil, plugs will need to be purchased separately if desired. https://www.fcpeuro.com/BMW-parts/330i-xDrive/Differential-Drain-Plug/?year=2018&m=Base&e=2.0L+L4+B46B20O0+gas+Turbocharged&t=Automatic&b=Sedan

I have a 2022 X3 M X-drive The Redline 75w-85 is compatible with the rear differential. What about the "front differential"? I can't seem to find the correct fluid on FCP website. Thank you
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This is compatible with the rear differential, yes (meets BMW G4 formula specs), but not the front. The front requires BMW G5 spec oil - https://www.fcpeuro.com/Parts/?keywords=83222471487

Question Posted by Artur
I have a 2020 BMW X5 sDrive40i (G05) rear wheel drive, and I’m planning to change the rear differential fluid. I’m considering three options: BMW G3 Hypoid Differential Fluid (500mL) BMW GL-5 70W-80 Differential Fluid – Febi 184247 (1L) Red Line 75W-85 GL-5 Gear Oil (1 Quart, PN 50104) I have a few questions: Are all three suitable for my vehicle’s rear differential? Are there any cold-weather performance differences or limitations I should be aware of for each fluid? Is there any risk of using the Red Line fluid instead of the BMW fluids regarding performance or compatibility with my rear differential? Thank you for your guidance. I want to ensure I choose the best option for my car.

The requirement for the rear differential fluid for the sDrive40i changes mid year. Please contact service@fcpeuro.com with your vin and this request so we may better assist you.
