This oil change kit wasn't the proper one I needed, for I have a plastic oil pan that has a tightening screw which is needed. Since this was my very first oil change on the car I didn't realize this at the time. Though the website had said that it had fitment for my car, it wasn't the right part. I'm glad that I didn't start draining the oil before checking.

2012 Passat 2.5, some of the best oil for this car. The kit comes with everything, including the drain plug, which because my car was used when I bought it had some non-OEM plug with an overused gasket.

I needed to do a oil change, and the previous couple of months my CEL had been going on and off with a P0106 code. I have the new MAP sensor but didnt have time yet to replace it. Thought i would give the Liqui Moly a try over the Pentosin oil i had been using with Mann filters. The CEL came on once a couple of days after the oil change for two days and has been off now for about 2 months (~3500 miles) .

Couldn't beat FCP's price locally even using 'on sale' and lesser quality items. Even other on-line suppliers came up more expensive. The drain plug does fit my 2014 2.5L even though the listing says it doesn't when you click and expand each item in the kit. Just a listing glitch on the webpage. Excellent quality, nice price and their Customer Service was great in confirming order and notifying shipment status, even for such a simple order. FCP is my new go-to for maintenance items.
