These trim pieces tend to deteriorate. One doesn't realize to what extent until changing them out. These also had the additional advantage of reducing the tendency of the windscreen side trim to fold in (towards the windscreen). Unfortunately Volvo try to economize by only including one fastener instead of the required two. Suitable fasteners are freely available elsewhere.

It's the little things like this that add life back to your car. However it does not come with both plastic push pins. It only comes with the lower push-pin/clip.
